There was great drama when France advanced to the final in women's basketball.
With just eight seconds left, Belgium equalized to 66-66, and took it to overtime. However, it was the home nation that drew the longest straw, and won 81-75. Thus, the team is clear for the final for the second time ever.
It was much easier for the USA in their semifinal. The super team defeated Australia, and the final score was 85-64. The USA made a push already in the second period, and Australia never managed to catch up. Thus, they are clear for the final, and are chasing their eighth consecutive Olympic Games gold in women's basketball.
But despite the superiority, one of the team's big stars, Brittney Grimer, believes it's not as easy as it looks.
Many watch the matches and what the final scores become and think that nothing is difficult for us, but it is. When we're in the zone like this, we're simply just very good and efficient, says Grimer to AFP.
The final is played at 15:30 on Sunday.
