The man who was murdered was in an apartment when he was hit by shots early on Monday morning, and the police suspect that he was shot from the outside, through a window.

The man, who was in his 50s, was taken to hospital, where he died.

We have not been able to see any immediate threat against anyone at this specific address in our investigation. Therefore, we cannot rule out that it may be the wrong person who has been shot, says police spokesperson Nils Norling.

No Further Arrests

The detained boy was born in 2007, according to prosecutor Pär Andersson.

He is between 16 and 17 years old.

The police have not made any further arrests during the day. It is currently unclear whether the teenager acted alone or with others.

It is obvious that we are looking into this. We will see where it takes us. Interrogations will be held today, says Andersson.

The teenager is suspected of murder, aggravated weapons offenses, and violations of the law on explosive and flammable goods.

His defense attorney Pontus Sjölund says that he does not want to comment on his client's stance.

The police have found two pistols, a Kalashnikov, and three grenades at a location near the scene, reports SVT Nyheter Skåne. Nils Norling cannot comment on the report.

Suspect Object

The area was cordoned off in the morning after the police dog handler found what was reported to be a suspicious dangerous object.

Residents in a nearby building were advised to stay indoors and away from windows.

The boy was arrested near the crime scene shortly after the shooting.

We cannot rule out that more people are involved in this. Therefore, we are interested in all observations in the area during the late night and early morning, says Nils Norling.
