A man is being demanded to repay 10.6 million kronor after an assistance scam. Five different companies that over a ten-year period claimed to have provided the man's assistance are also being demanded to repay, as well as a relative who pretended to be an assistant.
The total amount of our claims amounts to 17 million, says Charlotte Hoff, unit manager for national analysis at the Insurance Agency, to Sydsvenskan.
The user who was supposed to receive assistance has greatly exaggerated their need for help. According to the Insurance Agency, it involves "large elements of simulation".
