"Star Trek" Actor Dies

Patti Yasutake known from "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Beef" has passed away, according to New York Times.

Yasutake passed away on Monday at a hospital in Los Angeles. The cause of death was cancer, according to her friend and manager.

Yasutake played the role of nurse Alyssa Ogawa in the science fiction series "Star Trek: The Next Generation" which was shown between 1987 and 1994 and she later reprised the role in the films "Star Trek Generations" and "Star Trek: First Contact".

In recent times, she is known for her supporting role in the Netflix drama comedy "Beef" where she played the stepmother Amy Lau.

Patti Yasutake was 70 years old.
