Still Insecure in Stores

Still high but at a slightly lower level. The proportion of stores in retail that have been exposed to either threats, violence or theft amounted to 45 percent during the third quarter, compared to 50 percent during the second quarter, according to Svensk Handel's recurring measurements.

However, compared to the third quarter last year, the index has increased by four units.

"Stores and services taken for granted risk disappearing as a result of the high level of exposure to crime," says Nina Jelver, security manager at Svensk Handel, in a written comment.
