Canoeists Linnea Stensils and Melina Andersson have qualified for the semifinal in K1 500 meters at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Stensils won her heat and advanced directly to the semifinal. Andersson had to take the detour via the quarterfinal.
Martin Nathell also had a good Olympic start. The Ängelholm canoeist finished second in the heat on K1 1,000 meters and took the second direct spot to the semifinal.
The semifinal and final will be decided on Saturday for the Swedes.
