Against Frölunda, Leksand fell behind already after a couple of minutes – and the second period then became a long darkness from the Leksand perspective.
Leksand messed up their passing game, lost battles and were last to most pucks. Frölunda's Max Friberg made it 2–0, while Dominik Egli and Calle Klingberg extended the lead further two times.
That Lucas Elvenes reduced to 1–2 in between played a minor role.
We had a hope of coming here and advancing, based on the great quarterfinal series we had against Frölunda in the spring (when Frölunda won 4–3 in matches), says "Challe" Berglund.

After Leksand's goal, it didn't even take a minute before Egli made it 3–1 for Frölunda.

Look ahead
Henrik Tömmernes then settled the match result when he made it 5–1 at the end of the third period. According to defenseman Alexander Lundqvist, it's now about trying to look ahead.
It's a disappointment that we don't play better than we do. It concerns the entire team. We can do much better. But it's one match out of 52. We'll take this with us and move on, says Lundqvist.
