The program drew great attention when it was broadcast in the spring for its revelation that the Sweden Democrats' communications department operates anonymous accounts in social media.
The Authority for Psychological Defense (APD) reported TV4 to the Review Board due to interviews with the authority's representatives, which the APD believed had been taken out of context when they were shown.
However, the Review Board disagrees, stating that it is "clear" that the sequence was recorded in an earlier context.
The programs featured interviews with representatives of the APD discussing disinformation. However, the interviews did not relate to the investigation, according to the authority's complaint, which "risks causing significant harm to the trust" in the authority's impartiality.
The Review Board shares TV4's view that the segment dealt with depicting the general debate on disinformation and did not specifically concern the Sweden Democrats' anonymous accounts. The Board also believes that it is clear that the sequence with the APD was recorded in an earlier context.
"This was evident from the visual presentation, music, and headings, as well as from the fact that segments with collages were a recurring feature in the programs," writes the Review Board. The programs' descriptions of troll accounts in social media being linked to the Sweden Democrats' communications department were also factually presented, according to the Board.
