During the season, threats have repeatedly been directed at a player in Rosengård.

But according to SVT, the police have now taken a step closer to a solution. They are said to have obtained IP addresses from the platforms where the threats were published and will next try to link the accounts to specific individuals.

We are waiting for answers from external parties. Everything is on track, but it's not in my power to assess how and when answers can be expected, says police officer Joakim Karlsson, who is investigating the threats against the Rosengård player, to SVT.

Threats against multiple teams

On Friday, SVT reported on additional threats directed at all players in the entire Damallsvenskan league. And after Saturday's match against Kristianstad, Vittsjö stated that several of their players had received threats on social media.

It's a threat that was sent via social media to the injured party. It was sent once. It has connections to several Damallsvenskan players being threatened, says police spokesperson Thomas Johansson to Norra Skåne.

Vittsjö's club manager Jimmie Andersson tells Norra Skåne that it's "unpleasant and criminal threats" that have been directed at several players on the team. The club has made a police report after the threats.

Enhanced security

I have been in contact with the police and the police report is now being linked to the Rosengård threats. It's becoming a larger case. It has spread in Sweden and has reached other clubs as well, says Andersson.

Players in Djurgården and Linköping have also been affected in recent days, reports Aftonbladet. As a consequence of the threats, security has been tightened in Damallsvenskan, including visitor checks at several arenas.
