Three people died on Saturday evening in a severe collision between two cars outside Ludvika.
In one car, a man in his 20s was traveling, and in the other car, two women in their 35s.
All of them died at the accident site, which is on the national road 66 between Ludvika and Smedjebacken. The police received an alarm about the accident just before 10 pm.
It appears that two cars have collided head-on and it happened during an overtaking maneuver. One of the cars was on the wrong side of the road, says Olle Lund, duty officer at the Bergslagen police region.
Another car was also involved. It collided with one of the accident cars, and the two people in the car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The police have initiated an investigation into reckless driving and causing another person's death.
