The two women, who were sisters and around 50 years old, were found dead in an apartment in Luleå in July. They had been deceased for a longer period of time when they were found by a neighbor who contacted the police. Nothing indicated that the women had been subjected to any violence.

They have both died of illness, nothing has been found that suggests otherwise, says investigation leader Erik Lampinen to the newspaper.

The final autopsy report now shows that both got pneumonia.

It's a bit strange that both died of illness. Why didn't one of the sisters alert anyone in some way? But it's an answer we'll never get, says Lampinen to Norrbottens Kuriren.
