Three people have severe injuries after a traffic accident on the E4 outside Mjölby on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred when a car drove in the wrong direction. A total of five people were taken to hospital after the accident.
A man in his 80s is severely injured and admitted to the intensive care unit, according to Region Östergötland for TT.
Two more men, one in his 50s and one in his 70s, are also severely injured. Their condition is stable.
There is no information about the condition of the other two.
The police have initiated an investigation into gross negligence in traffic and bodily harm.
