A federal court temporarily prohibits presidential candidate Donald Trump from using the Sam & Dave song "Hold on, I'm coming" at his campaign meetings, writes Billboard.
The ban takes effect immediately, however, Trump's staff does not need to remove films from the internet where the song is played in the background at meetings.
During this year's presidential election campaign, an unusually large number of artists have tried to get Donald Trump to stop using their songs, including Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, Jack White, and Abba. But it is only Isaac Hayes' family that has filed a formal lawsuit.
Even songwriter David Porter has stated that he has never given permission to play "Hold on, I'm coming" at Trump meetings. Hayes and Porter wrote the classic hit song together during their time as permanent songwriters for Stax Records in Memphis.
