TV4 News is launching a collaboration with the American AI company Channel 1 to launch "The USA Report", a news broadcast about the American presidential election.
The news sweep is based on material from the news agency Reuters, and speaker voices and subtitling are produced with the support of AI. The broadcast is then produced by a trained AI model and controlled by journalists and editors.
"What Channel 1 can help us with is to show how you can use AI-supported technology to package material to reach a specially interested audience", says Martin Ekelund, online chief for News and Society at TV4, in a press release.
"The USA Report" will be published on TV4 Play from Tuesday to Saturday until the election on November 5.
