A man and a woman, between 30 and 40 years old, are being requested to be detained following a suspected bomb threat at Central Station in Stockholm on Wednesday, according to the Prosecution Authority.
The individuals are suspected on probable grounds of committing crimes against the law on flammable and explosive goods, as well as preparing for gross general endangerment.
A large operation was launched and Stockholm Central was evacuated after a suspected dangerous object was found. According to information provided to Aftonbladet, the man and woman were arrested with a thermos bomb in their bag, which they were supposed to deliver to a location in northern Sweden.
Detention hearings will be held on Saturday. The individuals, through their lawyers, have denied any wrongdoing.
