A villa in Sollefteå caught fire heavily during the night to Wednesday. At 01.30, neighbors saw flames coming out of the property and alerted the rescue service.
The police have tried to reach the residents of the villa but have not succeeded.
We have tried in every way to reach them and unfortunately, we suspect that they are still inside the villa. As far as I know, no one has managed to get into the villa, says Mattias Jonsson, commander at police region Nord.
When the rescue service arrived at the scene, the house was already heavily ablaze and they are now working to limit the spread.
They are there and extinguishing for all they're worth, but I don't know if the house can be saved or what the prognosis is, says Mattias Jonsson.
