A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing her partner.
The man, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident occurred at 20:30 on Sunday evening in the couple's shared home in Hässelby, Stockholm. Two children were in the apartment during the crime.
We do not know if the children witnessed the incident, but since they were at the crime scene, she is also suspected of child abuse, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
The apartment is cordoned off pending a technical investigation.
We will search for evidence and find out how it happened and what occurred, says Per Fahlström.
The man's injuries are serious but currently not life-threatening.
