The Netflix series about the famous robbery in Västberga 2009 gets its world premiere at the Stockholm film festival in November.

The notorious helicopter robbery took place in 2009 in Västberga, Stockholm, where the robbers broke into a vault via the air from a helicopter and got away with an estimated haul of 39 million kronor.

The series is mainly directed by Daniel Espinosa ("Snabba cash") from a script by Ronnie Sandahl ("Tigrar"). Now, the Stockholm film festival announces that it will world-premiere the first two episodes between 6-17 November.

"The Helicopter Robbery" has its streaming premiere on 22 November on Netflix.

Already on 14 August, Sandahl and Espinosa will participate in a conversation about the series during Sommarbio in Rålambshovsparken in Stockholm.
