David Hellenius' talk show gets a new broadcast time, a new name, and a new direction this winter. In "Hellenius' Corner Celebrates", the TV profile will invite guests based on different themes.
It's a celebratory feeling with a hint of nostalgia, a special season where the guests aren't there to promote anything, but rather come as the stars they are, says Hellenius.
The programs will be two hours long on Saturday evenings, with many guests. The premiere is on December 14 on TV4 Play and TV4.
Klüft and Sjöström
In a program about sports that has already been recorded, among others, Carolina Klüft and Sarah Sjöström will talk about what it feels like to become Olympic Games gold medalists, and in another, Kattis Ahlström and Anders Lundin will reminisce about when they hosted the Eurovision Song Contest.
David Hellenius says that he has wanted to move away from how it usually is in talk shows, where guests come to talk about current projects, which can feel a bit routine.
Even if you talk about things that happened several years ago, the content feels a bit more unique. It becomes a more urgent program now.
Doing something unique
Are there too many talk shows and morning sofas, so that it's hard to find unique and current guests?
We don't have an endless supply of celebrities. They won't run out, but if you want to do things with celebrities, you have to do something more unique than just talking about why they're current, says Hellenius.
"Hellenius' Corner Celebrates" is intended as a special season. But what happens next?
That's a very good question. It's been very fun with these themes and doing it a bit bigger. But this is probably a one-off. But it's up to TV4 to decide.
