Now, the 25-year-old football striker appears to be restored, and looks set to make a comeback when Newcastle take on Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
"Alex" has trained and he has trained well. He was involved in training at the beginning of the week and looked good. He is part of the discussions ahead of the weekend, says Newcastle's coach Eddie Howe at Friday's press conference ahead of the match, writes the club on X.
In addition to the two national team matches last week, Isak has missed three consecutive league matches with Newcastle due to a broken toe.
