With 30 seats, Marine Le Pen's French far-right in National Rally becomes the largest single party in the European Parliament. At least, that's what the preliminary results show, which include the final figures for both France and Germany.
The largest German party – and second largest overall – becomes the conservative union between CDU and CSU with 29 seats.
The third largest becomes Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's Italian Brothers with 24 seats, followed by the Spanish right-wing party PP with 22 seats.
In turn, the social democrats in Italy and Spain, PD and PSOE, as well as Poland's EU-sceptic conservative former ruling party Law and Justice (PIS), land on 20 seats.
However, the size of individual parties has significance only internally within the different party groups.
