"Today and tomorrow, our members affected by the notice will be contacted by their nearest manager. It has been tough negotiations under enormous time pressure for us elected representatives. 129 officials are being laid off in Västerås, 81 in Stockholm and a smaller number in Skellefteå, according to Unionen, of which 90 are members of Unionen. However, the negotiations regarding how many will be leaving in Skellefteå are not yet clear. And as for IF Metall's members, it is not clear either.
Initially, the company had announced that 400 jobs would be eliminated in Västerås and 200 in Stockholm.
