The Russian citizen who was arrested at the beginning of July suspected of having photographed protected objects is cleared of suspicion. This reports SVT News Örebro.

The man, who was born in Russia, was suspected of having photographed protected objects in the form of television masts in Stockholm and Sundsvall.

He claims to have taken pictures of the surroundings out of interest, more like a tourist, and then the protected objects happened to be on film, says prosecutor Anders Persson to SVT.

Since there were also film clips of surroundings without protected objects, the man's version is supported. However, since he was carrying two knives when he was arrested at the end of June in Karlskoga, the man is still detained.

It is a knife possession that is to be assessed as gross, says Anders Persson.
