On Saturday, two teenage boys were arrested in Malmö. This concerns a 17-year-old suspected of preparing for murder and an 18-year-old suspected of incitement, alternatively, accessory to murder.
Both are now detained, says Norling.
Last week, the Malmö police handled three cases involving young people. In one case, a boy under 15 years old was arrested with an automatic weapon.
In total, it involves four people with different criminal charges and two boys who have been taken into care by social authorities, says Norling.
We cannot see any connection on the surface, but we must also look at links to other violent crimes in Sweden. We know that crime has been very mobile in recent years. The client can sit in one part of the country and the perpetrator in another part.
According to Norling, the police are working at high pressure to prevent violent crimes.
There are active conflicts in the criminal environments in Malmö and also in other parts of the country. Our focus is to prevent violent crimes. Exactly how we go about it, I unfortunately cannot go into today. What I can say is that we are working incredibly hard.
