Minister for Health and Social Affairs Acko Ankarberg Johansson (KD) is now reacting strongly to the reports of women who have had their uteruses unnecessarily removed.
"A dreadful news item", she says in a comment to Expressen.
"It is good that Akademiska Hospital is taking the incident seriously and taking necessary measures”.
Barbro Sjölander, chairperson of the patient association Network for Gynecological Cancer, is also reacting strongly.
It is terrible. This must not happen, she says to the newspaper.
