In Beit Lahia, at least 15 people have been killed in an Israeli drone attack, writes the Palestinian news agency Wafa on Telegram.
In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, near Beit Lahia, several people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Tuesday, according to Wafa.
The Israeli military reports that thousands of civilians have been evacuated from the Jabalia area and that tens of people who Israel calls terrorists have been arrested among the crowd.
"Ten terrorists who posed a threat" were killed in an attack, Israel further announces.
Besieged for weeks
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz has published a picture that allegedly shows flyers urging residents of Beit Lahia to leave the area.
The area has been besieged by Israeli forces and intensively bombed for over two weeks. On Saturday, a large number of people were killed when an Israeli air attack reduced several residential buildings in the area to ruins. Nearly 90 Palestinians are reported dead or missing after the attack.
No food, water, or care
Philippe Lazzarini, head of the UN's Palestine agency Unrwa, provides a bleak update on the situation in northern Gaza:
"Our staff reports that they cannot get food, water, or medical care. The smell of death is everywhere, with bodies left on the streets or under the rubble. Efforts to remove the bodies or provide humanitarian aid are being denied. People are just waiting for death in northern Gaza," he writes on X.
During the war in Gaza, Israel has repeatedly accused the UN agency of collaborating with Hamas. The UN has launched an investigation and dismissed nine employees following the Israeli accusations.
On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Israel for new pressure on a ceasefire. It is Blinken's eleventh trip to the region since the war broke out in October last year. On the agenda is a meeting with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
