The initiative comes after a notable comment from President Joe Biden yesterday.
The only garbage I see floating around is his supporters, said Biden in a video call with representatives of a group representing Latino voters.
The topic being discussed was comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's notable and criticized joke at Trump's meeting in New York, where he called Puerto Rico "an island of garbage". Biden later clarified that his comment referred to the joke being "garbage" and not Trump's supporters.
The Trump campaign has since Hinchcliffe's joke tried to distance itself from the comedian. In crucial Pennsylvania, where it is very even between the candidates, around half a million Puerto Ricans live.
Donald Trump, dressed for the day in an orange and neon yellow reflective vest, repeated in Wisconsin that he "did not know anything about the comedian".
I love Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico loves me, he said.
When he shortly afterwards went on stage for a rally in Green Bay, he still had the reflective vest on, over his white shirt and red tie.
