The 40-year-old man, who was sentenced to seven years and ten months in prison, is primarily requesting that the trial in the district court be retried. According to the defense, a procedural error was committed, as the court allowed certain evidence that the defense objected to.

"The consequence of the district court's decision is that NN (the defendant) has been completely deprived of the opportunity for a fair defense," writes lawyer Gabriel Rudbeck in the appeal to the Svea Court of Appeal.

The main issue is that the court allowed video recordings of interviews with individuals who did not appear in court, and that the defense therefore lacked the opportunity to ask counter-questions.

In the alternative, it is requested that the man be fully acquitted by the Court of Appeal.
