A doctor in Kristianstad prescribed large quantities of narcotics to himself. He is now being stripped of his medical licence, reports Kristianstadsbladet.
The Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo) launched an investigation into the man in autumn 2022. Despite attempting to contact him on multiple occasions, they never received a response.
According to Ivo, the man deliberately avoided contact and failed to maintain proper records. Therefore, Ivo believes he should no longer be allowed to practise as a doctor.
