A man who was injured in an accident at the Forsmark nuclear power plant on Friday has died from his injuries, according to prosecutor Gunnar Jonasson to P4 Uppland.
The man was in his 25s and the accident occurred during a welding operation. He was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter, but his life could not be saved.
The incident is being investigated as a work environment crime and causing bodily harm.
It is still unclear exactly how the accident occurred, but Forsmark has good hopes that it will be possible to clarify, reports the radio. Several members of the staff witnessed the accident and tried to help the man, and a crisis support center will be on site all week.
