Sunday's Stockholm derby between Djurgården and Hammarby was interrupted, after bangers and other pyrotechnics were thrown in, and was instead played out on Monday in front of empty stands.

Since then, various opinions have poured in from high-ranking politicians and representatives from the clubs and Swedish elite football (Sef).

Now, the chairman of the Swedish Football Association, Fredrik Reinfeldt, has also spoken out and believes that the interruption was a planned act to influence the result.

"We saw a new level of coordinated actions from the supporters' side aimed at influencing the match result. It's unfortunate that football is once again sidelined and what happened is completely unacceptable", says Reinfeldt in a press release from the association and continues:

"We see the need for continued discussion on taking effective measures to prevent disorder on the stands."

The Football Association writes further that they have an ongoing dialogue with Sef about the scandalous scenes.
