The idols took on songs from the 1980s, a decade that none of them had experienced. However, Magnus Uggla, who took a seat in the jury as a guest judge, had.

The program began with the host Pär Lernström interpreting Uggla's iconic "Jag mår illa" with new, updated lyrics that, just like the original, ridiculed contemporary celebrity culture.

Among the participants who managed to interpret their 80s songs the best and received the most praise from the jury were Leo Tekiel, who performed Prince's "Kiss", and Paulina Velasquez Gallegos, with ABBA's "The winner takes it all". They, along with Ella Ekholm, were the jury's favorites for the evening.

However, the viewers decided which two would be eliminated. 27-year-old Benjamin Löfquist from Åhus, who had struggled even last week, performed A-ha's "Take on me" and received, along with 28-year-old Robin Hörnkvist from Örnsköldsvik, with Journey's "Separate ways", the fewest votes.

The broadcast day for the TV4 program – which is celebrating its 20th anniversary – has changed from Fridays to Saturdays and is broadcast from the Filadelfia Church in Stockholm.

The final will take place on December 7.
