One of the biggest stars at the previous Olympics – American swimmer Caeleb Dressel – is now clear for the games in Paris – despite everything.
Dressel, who took five golds in 2021 in Tokyo, surprisingly missed a spot on the 100m freestyle when he finished third in the American qualifying competitions.
However, on the half distance, 50m freestyle, no mistakes were made. The time of 21.41 not only means that the Olympic ticket is now clear, but it is also the fourth fastest time of the year.
