Ten goals in the first five matches in the Premier League.

Jubilee with his 100th goal in his 105th PL match last time.

But at St James' Park in Newcastle, the goal streak ended in the top match where the injured Alexander Isak was missing from the home team.

League-leading Manchester City took to the field the day after Spanish midfielder Rodri underwent surgery for the serious cruciate ligament injury that will keep him out of play for the rest of the season.

Newcastle was the more lively team in the first half, but didn't get to the really hot chances.

Instead, Manchester City struck with a classy goal.

Jack Grealish spun past former English national team colleague Kieran Trippier on the left flank and played forward Josko Gvardiol, who calmly angled in the leading goal in the 35th minute.

But the home team equalized through Anthony Gordon on a penalty after he himself was brought down by the visitors' goalkeeper Ederson in a one-on-one situation.

Newcastle called for another penalty just a few minutes later when Joelinton fell in the penalty area, but was denied.

The Norwegian goal machine Haaland, top scorer last season, didn't have a big match, but could still have become the match winner in stoppage time. His header in a good position, however, went straight to home goalkeeper Nick Pope.
