The Star's Crazy Success - Four Goals in One Half

Chelsea's Cole Palmer had a decent day at work. The 22-year-old made history when he became the first ever in the Premier League to score four goals - in the same half. At the same time, it became even more dramatic in north London, where Arsenal decided the match in extra time.

Chelsea has had a turbulent time in recent years, with a high turnover of both players and coaches without further sporting success.

But one investment that the club has hit the mark with is the recruitment of Cole Palmer, and on Saturday, the 22-year-old scored a historic success. The Englishman scored four goals when Chelsea beat Brighton 4–2 at home. And all of them came within 20 minutes.

Crazy free kick

The first came in the 21st minute, when Brighton gave Chelsea the lead. Seven minutes later, he scored from the penalty spot, and after another three minutes of play, he scored a dream goal, when he curled a free kick into the crossbar and completed the hat-trick.

But Palmer was not satisfied with that, and scored his fourth goal of the half in the 41st minute.

Thus, the 22-year-old writes himself into the history books as the first player ever in the Premier League to score four goals in one and the same half.

He now has six goals and four assists after six rounds and is on his way to following up his successful debut season in the London club, where he scored 22 goals and 11 assists in the league.

Decided in stoppage time

It was even more dramatic in another part of London, where Arsenal took on Leicester. After a halftime lead of 2–0, "The Gunners" were heading for a relatively safe home win.

But the three points were anything but secure. Leicester's left-back James Justin scored two goals in the second half, and equalized to 2–2.

It looked like it would end in a draw, but in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Leandro Trossard, via a Leicester defender, scored 3–2 to Arsenal. In the last minute of the match, Kai Havertz also scored 4–2, and set the final score.

Thus, Arsenal climbs to a shared top spot, with the same number of points as Manchester City.
