The EU is imposing sanctions on several companies and individuals accused of helping the terrorist-listed Hamas with financing.
The measure marks a second round of sanctions by the EU against Hamas since October 7. So far, the EU has blacklisted 12 individuals and three entities linked to the group.
Among the latest targets of the sanctions are, for example, three companies, one Spanish and two in Sudan, used by a key financier to provide the group with funds, according to a statement. The sanctions are also directed against a high-ranking official in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The sanctions entail frozen assets and travel bans.
The war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has been ongoing for over eight months following Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7.
