Premier League giant Manchester United reports a loss of over 1.5 billion kronor – 113.2 million pounds – for the 2023–2024 season, according to the club's financial report.

This is the fifth season in a row that United is in the red. Last season, for example, the club reported a loss of 28.7 million pounds, and the season before that, the loss was as high as 115 million pounds.

The club's revenue for the previous season amounted to nearly nine billion kronor (661.8 million pounds).

Manchester United had to settle for an eighth place in the Premier League last season and finished last in their Champions League group.

The big club is currently in 14th place in the Premier League after starting the season with one win and two losses. Thanks to the FA Cup title in the spring, the team has qualified for the Europa League this autumn.
