Norwegian tennis hope Casper Ruud has to say goodbye to the US Open dream. A strong opening set was not enough for the 25-year-old, who was defeated by American Taylor Fritz.
Casper Ruud got off to a good start against the in-form Fritz and took the opening set, in the fourth round of the US Open. But then difficulties grew for the Norwegian, who towards the end of the match seemed a bit resigned.
Casper Ruud lost with 6–3, 4–6, 3–6, 2–6.
