With a start in July, Russians can travel by train to the neighbouring country of North Korea, reports Russian Interfax.

Now Russians can go and enjoy the neighbouring country's beauty and culture, says a governor.

The train connections between the allied countries were put on hold due to the pandemic. The route is now being resumed shortly after the Russian President Vladimir Putin's official visit to North Korea, where he praised the country's support for Russia's war in Ukraine.

During the visit, Putin and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, among other things, signed an agreement on mutual aid in the event of either country being attacked.

The newly reinstated direct trains will travel from Russian Vladivostok to North Korean Rason.

Now people can travel directly to North Korea and enjoy the beauty, nature, culture. Get to know the culture and traditions there, says Oleg Kozjemjako, governor of the Russian Primorskij kraj at the North Korean border, according to Interfax.
