The Left Party: Israel allowed the terrorist attack to happen

Israel "sacrificed" its own youths in the terrorist attack on October 7 to erase Gaza. This is the message in a post that the Left Party Orust published on its Facebook page. The post has now been removed, and the local Left Party association writes that they do not stand behind it.

The Left Party Orust published a post on their Facebook page on Saturday with this message.

"How likely is it that Hamas' attack on October 7 went under the radar? I believe Israel let it happen. Sacrificed their festival youth and kibbutz families to erase Gaza", the post reads, according to a screenshot published on X.

"In this context, I am always on the side of the Palestinians. And with that, also on Kristofer Lundberg's side", the post continues.

Does not stand behind

Vänsterpartiet member Kristofer Lundberg, chairman of the party's local association in Angered, is threatened with expulsion after showing support for the terrorist-classified Palestinian PFLP.

In a new post on Facebook, the local party association writes that the text that was posted has content that they do not stand behind or can accept.

"We will clarify our routines around social media, so that this does not happen again", the party association writes.

The Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar has said that anti-Semitism has no place in the party. TT has sought Dadgostar but she declines to comment on the post. Instead, party secretary Maria Forsberg responds.

"We have been contacted by the party association on Orust about the fact that this post was incorrectly published in their name", she says in a written statement.

"We agree that the post is completely unacceptable. The association took down the post hours after it was published and will now review their routines so that something like this cannot happen", Forsberg continues.

Storm around V

Several V politicians have been accused of anti-Semitism during the autumn.

Two Left Party members have left the party after spreading anti-Semitic claims. It was recently revealed that a representative from PFLP attended the local association in Angered's annual meeting earlier this year.

The Jewish Central Council decided as recently as Friday to boycott V from their memorial ceremonies, after representatives expressed themselves anti-Semitically and showed support for terrorist organizations.
