The men who have been caught are pressured to pay large sums of money to a company that claims to be able to treat pedophilia. According to ETC and Aftonbladet, the price tags are over 100,000 kronor.

However, according to the investigation, the company, which is a partner of Dumpen, lacks trained psychologists and permits to conduct care. Several of those who have paid have not received any treatment either.

Dumpen denies that it is possible to buy one's way out, and claims that the money they receive from the company is for advertising space on Dumpen's website.

Several men testify, however, that they have avoided publication after paying large sums and believe it is a matter of pure extortion. That opinion is shared by lawyer and former Minister of Justice Thomas Bodström, who is now considering filing a police report.

After Aftonbladet began investigating the operation, the company closed its website.

By pretending to be minors, Dumpen confronts adults who want to meet children for sexual purposes. The confrontations and chats are documented and then posted on the pedophile hunters' website and social media. Responsible publisher Sara Nilsson runs the operation together with former high jumper Patrik Sjöberg.
